Mild steel, Copper, glass and repurpoesed objects.

A take on the pseudo-historical writings of Zacharia Sitchin, which has grown into an international conspiracy theory, inspiring sci-fi films such as Alien Prometheus.

She is presented as the skeletal remains of an ancient alien/human hybrid found in Antarctica, emerging from the melting ice due to climate change. Thus revealing the lost city of Atlantis.

About the Artist

Hannelora has been working with arts organisation Walk the Plank since 2008. In this time she has worked on a vast array of concepts and structures, from the functional to the marvellous. Her skills have been honed in certain areas such as drawing into sheet metal with a plasma cutter to make elegant designs. In her own practice she has been working on using metal fabrication as a  representational, figurative, expressive medium combining organic, animal, human forms that looks often for inspiration in human history. Particularly to ancient history, pre-civilisation and mythology.
